Portable and dimmable LED table lamp "Kizu" with black marble base The portable LED table lamp from the KIZU collection impresses with its sculptural composition, balancing bold shapes. The illusion of gravity creates tension within the object, while the curved forms evoke a calming effect. This focal point of material and function creates an object in perfect harmony. The materials and expression are as we know them, but this wireless, smaller version of the KIZU table lamp is easy to transport wherever light is needed. The marble as a load-bearing element gives the lamp natural stability, and the polished stone feels pleasant to the touch. Since the light spreads across the entire upper part of the luminaire, the table lamp offers high light output. A twisted, recessed metal circle on the top of the lamp adds a refined detail to the design, and by lightly tapping the circle, the light can be dimmed in three different stages. The portable KIZU lamp has a battery life of 10 hours at a light setting of 100% and is charged via a USB-C cable. Designer Lars Tornøe: After years of experience as a product designer, Knut Bendik Humlevik became Creative Director of New Works in 2014. He continues the story of New Works in collaboration with a number of internationally renowned designers and also contributes his own pieces to the collection.
