De RICOH GRIIIx is een 24,2 megapixel compact camera voor de gevorderde fotograaf. De camera beschikt over een lens met een vaste brandpuntsafstand van 26mm. Door de cropfactor van de APS-C sensor is de beeldhoek van deze lens ongeveer gelijk aan die van een 40mm op een full frame camera. Hierdoor komt het beeld overeen met dat van je ogen. Je ziet daardoor ook geen vertekeningen in je foto's. Dankzij het maximale diafragma van f/2.8 gebruik je deze camera ook in omstandigheden met weinig licht.
